Santa's Ghetto is an event created by the graffiti artist Banksy is happening in Bethlehem, Palestine. More than thirty artist moved into a former chicken shop on Manger Square in Bethlehem opposite the Church of the Nativity (where Santa Claus was actually born). You can watch the whole sorry thing unravel on-line (http://www.santasghetto.com) but you're particularly welcome to come out and visit in person.
Many great art works by Blu, Paul Insect, Sam3, Banksy and Erica il Cane have also been made on the wall itself.

The 2nd RIWAQ Biennale starts today in Palestine. The Biennale will be centered on a three-day symposium at Birzeit University on October 22-24, and will be preceded by the Second Riwaq Biennale Gatherings - a series of visits to various cities and villages in order to observe Riwaq’s work as well as other significant cultural initiatives. Curated by Charles Esche and organised in partnership with the International Academy of Art, these gatherings will also offer ways to implement future projects and move forward into a sustained two-year biennale - one which doesn’t just happen every two years but takes two years to evolve. The Jerusalem Show - Contemporary local and international artistswill exhibit works throughout the Old City, for a ten day period. Works in photography, video, painting, performance and sculpture will be installed on street corners, old city walls, youth clubs, community centers, playgrounds, roof tops, courtyards and so forth, throughout the four quarters of the Old City.
